Max hubner throws spear at upper franconia record distance

The junior javelin thrower max hubner from unnersdorf near bad staffelstein was unable to train individually on a sports field for more than two months because of the ban on corona sports. Hubner, however, made the best of these weeks. The talent, who transferred to the UAC kulmbach last fall and has since been training according to the plans of the kulmbach throwing expert martin standner, practiced on his family’s sheep paddock equipped with all kinds of utensils from his new club.

There he also received a visit from his trainer from kulmbach. All of this apparently bore fruit, because hubner, who had already improved his best mark of the previous year from 47.97 meters to 50.42 meters in the winter, really attracted attention during his late start to the summer season at a javelin throwing meeting in rottenbach near nurnberg.

The 15-year-old from unnersdorf surpassed his previous best mark in winning his age group no less than five times, with the javelin drilling into the turf at a very good 55.52 meters in his longest attempt. This meant an improvement of the upper franconian record in the M15 class by more than two meters," said kraft.

With his new best distance, the high school student is in second place in the german rankings.
